Frequently asked questions about your website

Short answers to what a business owner asks before getting a website built in Puerto Rico: what it costs, how we work, what you keep if you decide to leave, and what anyone can and can't promise about ChatGPT and Google. The answers come from Páginas Web en PR, a project of R21 Digital.

Price

How much does a website for my business cost?

From $750 as a one-time fee, plus $40 a month for hosting and maintenance. The total depends on how big the site is and how many pages it has, and you get it in writing before we start. The pricing page has the details.

Why does the price say “from”?

Because a one-page site and a twelve-page site don't cost the same. What moves the total is the size and the number of pages. That's why we don't quote a final total before we know your case: we talk it through with you, and the final price reaches you in writing before we start.

I've seen cheaper websites. What's different?

Compare what each price comes with. Ours includes a design built around your brand, bilingual if you need it, fast on mobile and readable by ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google. Being readable doesn't mean an AI will mention you: nobody can promise that. What you can do is run the free check on any site.

How we work

What do I get before we start?

The final price, in writing. First you tell us about your business and the website you need; if you already have one, we go over your current site with you. With that, we give you the total. To begin, call us or write through the contact form. We reply within one business day, in Spanish or English.

Can you review the website I already have?

Yes. We go over your current site with you, in Spanish or English. For a first read before we talk, run the free check. It's free, there's nothing to sign up for, it takes a few seconds, and it shows you the evidence it measures in your site's public files, not an opinion.

Is it in Spanish, English or both?

Spanish, English or bilingual, whatever your business needs. If your customers write to you in both languages, we talk it through and build it bilingual. We also answer you in Spanish or English, whichever you prefer, and you get the price in writing before we start.

Is it a template, or custom-built?

Custom-built, with its own code. We don't put it together in a drag-and-drop builder, and we publish on Vercel. That's how we work, not a verdict on other ways of doing it. To see the result, look at the portfolio.

Do I need a website if I already have Facebook and Instagram?

The two can live side by side. A social network is an account on another company's platform. A website sits on your own domain, and you decide what it says and how it's organized. If you want to see what your case would take, write to us and we'll walk you through it.

Domain, hosting and what you keep

Where is my website published, and what is the $40 a month?

We publish our websites on Vercel. The $40 a month is hosting and maintenance, which keeps your site online. It's separate from the $750, which is a one-time fee. To find out what it covers in your case, ask us before we start and we'll reply within one business day.

What happens to my domain and my website if I decide to leave?

We transfer everything: the domain, the site files and the content, once any pending balance is paid. If you want to understand how it would work in your case, ask us before we start. We reply within one business day, in Spanish or English.

AI visibility

How do I know if ChatGPT can read my website?

Run the free check. Type your domain and we check eight things in your site's public files, including whether your robots.txt lets OAI-SearchBot through, the crawler ChatGPT uses for search. It's free and there's nothing to sign up for. It measures access and files, not what ChatGPT says about your business.

Can you guarantee ChatGPT or Google will mention my business?

No, and nobody can. Those systems decide what they mention, and anyone who promises otherwise is promising something they don't control. What we do is build your website so ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google can read it. That's a starting point, not a result.

What is robots.txt and why does it matter?

It's a public file on your site that says which robots may read your pages. According to OpenAI, a site that blocks OAI-SearchBot isn't shown in ChatGPT search answers, though it can still appear as a link. Blocking GPTBot is a different decision, about training models. Each one is allowed or blocked on its own.
